The Darling Hotel: 10 Years Later
It's been a little over ten years since Butler Partners carried out the geotechnical investigation for the Darling Hotel on the Gold Coast. Since that time the Darling Hotel has been completed, a new entry bridge has been constructed, and we have investigated and helped our clients through some challenging in-ground issues for the construction of the two towers you can see in the first image.
Our client is now in the final stages of the second tower, but the images below go back to 2015 where we drilled over water for the bridge (first image) and under the footprint of the existing Darling Hotel (second image).
Reflecting on how the site looks now compared to what it did 10 years ago, it is an obvious sign of the impact on the built environment that we all contribute to.
